Customer dissatisfaction and rejection of good professionals.<\/p>\n<p>To avoid future and possible disappointments, I think it&#8217;s interesting to share what each person does.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speakers or disseminators<\/strong> convey knowledge in an accessible, inspiring, and motivating way, creating a momentary impact. The knowledge can be theirs or someone else&#8217;s, but the challenge they face is to <strong>have a deep understanding of the topic<\/strong> at hand in addition to an impactful way of conveying it, as it is very likely that the audience will ask intelligent questions. Delivering 10 tips in a straightforward manner is not being a Speaker, let alone a communicator.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coaches<\/strong> are professionals who drive professional and personal careers. They do this by reviewing the effects of people&#8217;s behaviors to manage changes from self-awareness. But coaches <strong>must be certified<\/strong>, they must have knowledge and skills certified by internationally recognized entities since they work on vital aspects of people, and malpractice can cause major problems. It&#8217;s like in sports, if you don&#8217;t have the official certification, you can&#8217;t train athletes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trainers<\/strong>, not teachers, transfer knowledge and develop professional skills; they must have adequate preparation but it is not mandatory to have a specific degree. They have the challenge of generating changes in people&#8217;s performance. Their challenge is to structure knowledge in a way that it is acquired easily and permanently. A trainer works in the medium term and training is not a one-time act. The content can be proprietary or third-party, or a combination of both; their challenge is to ensure that the delivery brings about changes. The client decides whether to hire the trainer or not, based on the trust conveyed, the knowledge and skills to be developed, and if it doesn&#8217;t fit or doesn&#8217;t achieve the expected result, they won&#8217;t hire them again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consultants<\/strong> are professionals with <strong>extensive specific knowledge<\/strong>, possessing a critical vision that enables them to establish diagnoses that generate organizational, process, or vision changes, or who <strong>have a specific methodology or technology<\/strong> that they can implement in a company. Basically, the reason for their work is to accompany clients so that changes happen. Clients buy consulting based on the trust conveyed by them, if they obtain a plausible solution to their problem from them. The challenge for consultants is to deliver exactly what the client is purchasing, in a clear and perceptible manner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interim managers<\/strong> execute, in an operational manner and within a specified timeframe, the objective for which the client hires them. He is a professional with real decision-making capacity at all levels, and that is what the client buys. They report to the person who hired them and, upon completing their activity, they transition to the person who will permanently manage the project.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, speakers will never be trainers, coaches, consultants, or interim managers, nor will trainers be speakers, consultants, or interim managers. Coaches are coaches, and that is why they are certified. The most versatile are the consultants; they can be trainers and interim managers but not speakers. Interim managers are only interim managers because they are relentless executors. Review what you do and define yourself by what you do, and in any case, evolve coherently.<\/p>\n<p>And why TikTok videos? It&#8217;s a fun, fresh, and addictive social network, and I&#8217;m not sure if the massive and uncontrolled virality of content, especially from speakers, improves their personal brand.
