Optimum Sales \u2013 Will AI eliminate B2B salespeople?<\/h2>\n

There is a certain fear and resistance from the sales teams when addressing digital transformation projects where processes managed through Artificial Intelligence are incorporated.<\/p>\n

The most advanced commercial equipment digitization projects we are collaborating on are those of companies focused on providing service and after-sales solutions for industrial equipment and machinery.<\/p>\n

In these projects, the sensorization of machines and components provides a wealth of data that, once processed, allows the company to determine the most appropriate time for maintenance or component replacement.<\/p>\n

This same information, conveyed to the sales team, provides the salesperson with a daily notice recommending which customers to initiate a commercial dialogue with, through which channel, which products to promote, and which marketing materials to use.<\/p>\n

These solutions are the connection between IoT solutions and CRMs.<\/p>\n

The questions that management teams and salespeople are asking are: Does it make sense to have salespeople with a high level of preparation and value? Shouldn’t we only incorporate promoters who seek personal engagement by transferring system instructions through AI?<\/p>\n

From our point of view, the answer lies in optimizing corporate and vendor knowledge management, projected in the delivery of comprehensive solutions tailored to each client’s reality. AI solutions, no matter how powerful they are, continue to provide proposals based on the parameterization of binary information (composed of 0s and 1s) established from events generated in the past. Therefore, the value of the salesperson lies in the generation of new solutions created from the combination of corporate and personal knowledge about innovative solutions that will shape the new future of their clients’ competitiveness.<\/p>\n

The challenge for companies is to create corporate knowledge management systems to accumulate valuable assets and make them available to the sales team, and the challenge for the salesperson is continuous learning and communication that they possess this knowledge since it is their differential value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
